Labour Friends of the Commonwealth supports deepening collaboration with Labour parties from across the Commonwealth. In a world with growing inequality and instability, Labour Friends of Commonwealth draws Labour parties together in the belief in, and advocacy of, a more inclusive, sustainable future.
We believe that the Commonwealth has a unique role to play in protecting the values which underpin Labour — values such as social democracy, protecting the natural environment, promoting gender equality, and securing climate resilience. We want to build a progressive coalition that helps Commonwealth nations flourish together, regardless of their size, wealth or geography.
As Labour Friends of the Commonwealth, we utilise our collaborative networks to make our communities safer, cleaner and more sustainable. We all have a part to play in the Commonwealth, whether we are Small Island Developing States, large and emerging economies, and beyond.

Our mission is to unite Labour Party democracies from around the globe in a shared spirit of collaboration, determination and partnership, because we are Stronger Together. We believe our 56 Commonwealth Member States, situated in every corner of the world, can forge a shared path for a brighter 21st century. The fight for our future generations has never been so important.
Drawing upon our shared Labour tradition and the deep historical links between our Labour parties, we will facilitate projects and policies to promote sustainable development, empower the least advantaged, and unite us in the spirit of democratic values. Our Labour principles will guide us every step of the way as we march towards a better tomorrow, as a Commonwealth that is Stronger Together.
